Frances brings over 25 years’ experience of working in the jewellery auction business.

Frances gained a degree in History of Art and History of Architecture at the University of Reading, and worked initially for Phillips auctioneers in London. Moving to Phillips Oxford salerooms, Frances trained in jewellery and silver, gaining her professional jewellery FGA and DGA qualifications. With the merger of Phillips and Bonhams auctioneers in 2001, Frances led the Bonhams Oxford jewellery team, overseeing 11 annual specialist jewellery auctions at the Oxford salerooms, and sourcing high value jewellery for sale in London, America and Hong Kong.

In 2015, Frances accepted the invitation from Dix Noonan Webb to head up a new Jewellery Department. With an increasing team of specialists, the Department continues to go from strength to strength.

An active member of the Society of Jewellery Historians, Frances contributes articles to assorted professional publications, and is always keen to share her passion for jewellery.
