Sold with some photocopied newspaper cuttings that indicate the recipient served aboard the cruiser H.M.S. Orion in the Mediterranean during 1943, a period that witnessed her adding “Sicily 1943” and “Salerno 1943” to her very impressive tally of 13 Battle Honours for the 1939-45 War.
