William Fleming was born in Armagh, Ireland, and attested for the 6th Dragoon Guards at Dundalk, Co. Louth, on 16 July 1847, aged 19 years 10 months. He served in the Crimea and Turkey for 10 months, and in the East Indies for 4 years and 8 months, and was discharged at Dublin, being found unfit for further service, on 11 August 1869. Sold with copy discharge papers.
