Letter, by the Revd. Rogers Ruding to Mr Young [i.e. Matthew Young], jeweller, High Holborn, written from Maldon and dated November 7 1815. In good condition (£20-30)

The letter reads: Dear Sir, If you will please to direct the parcel for me, to be left at the Post Office in Kingston, and send it by the Kingston Coach which puts up at an Inn in Fleet Street, nearly facing Red Lion Court, it will come safely to me. I thank you for the two new names, which I will add to the List. There are now only 4 copies of large paper for sale. Of the small there are 58. When you see Mr Miles, give my respects to him, and tell him, that I have been confined to my room nearly three weeks by Gout. That I am now, thank God, recovering strength, and hope soon to get down stairs again. During the time I have been unable to go on with the correction of my book from the Press, which will occasion some little delay in publication. I am Dear Sir Yours very truly, Rogers Ruding
