Æthelred II (978-1016), Æthelred II, Last Small Cross type, Last Issue, Walgist, Thetford, PELGIST MON DEOD, with four crosses around reverse cross, ‘East Anglian’ style bust, 1.34 gms (BMC 386 [pl. xvi, 13], different dies; N. 779; Hild. Ac, 3825). About very fine, but some patches of weakness to marginal legends and a little buckled, very rare (£300-400)
