Naval General Service 1793-1840, 1 clasp, Off Tamatave 20 May 1811 (Hy. Maybee) plugged at 6 o’clock below Queen’s bust and in exergue of reverse, otherwise very fine £1500-2000
Sold at Glendining’s in August 1842, ‘small plug in exergue.’ Approximately 78 clasps issued for this action between three French 40-gun frigates and the British 36-gun frigates Astraea, Galatea and Phoebe, together with the 18-gun brig Racehorse.
Henry Maybee served as an Able Seaman aboard the Racehorse in this action.
