Charles I (1625-1649), York mint, Shilling, Gp 1 [type 1], mm. lion, square-topped shield over long cross fleury, reads fra et hib, bezants in cross-ends, 5.17g/9h (Besly 1A; SCBI Brooker 1089, same obv. die; N 2316; S 2870). Very slightly creased, otherwise about extremely fine and pleasantly toned (£600-800)
