Boy Scouts Association Silver Cross for Gallantry, named on the reverse (A. Cumberpatch 14-9-38) hallmarked Birmingham 1937, fitted with suspension brooch and contained in box of issue; together with Royal Humane Society Certificate on Vellum, dated 9 August, 1938, wherein “It was resolved unanimously that Arthur Cumberpatch is justly entitled to the Honorary Testimonial of this Society inscribed on Vellum which is hereby awarded him for having on the 24th July 1938 gone to the rescue of a youth who was in imminent danger of drowning in the River Trent at Nottingham, and whose life he gallantly saved.”, nearly extremely fine and rare (2)
