James Letts was born in All Saints, Northampton and enlisted at Northampton. Serving as a Serjeant in the 1st Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 9 May 1915, aged 30 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial. He was the husband of Minnie Letts of 25 Deal Street, Northampton.
