Frederick Miles James was born in Amersham, Buckinghamshire and enlisted at High Wycombe. He originally served as Private G/1514 in the K.R.R.C. Serving with the 1st/20th Battalion London Regiment, he died of wounds in France on 30 March 1918. He was buried in the Etaples Military Cemetery. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details. Also with an unrelated ‘Mons’ clasp and rosette and M.I.D. oakleaf (2).
