Fraisse fashioned into a plated octagonal plaque, naked winged female representing Speed above two biplanes, palm branches at sides, named (Coupe René Mandar, Raymonde Lebrun, 24 Octobre 1948, 3 Juillet 1949), 83mm; together with a Préparation Militaire bronze award medal after J.-B. Daniel-Dupuis, un-named [attributed to E.P. Lebrun], 50mm [2]. Very fine; second in case of issue [hinge damaged]

First only illustrated. Sold with Mme Lebrun’s licence to fly tourist operations, issued in August 1947. Raymonde Lebrun, née Martin (b. January 1912), secretary and treasurer of the Aéro-club des Grèves du mont Saint Michel, was the wife of Edmond Paul Lebrun (1912-2000), aviator.
