Waterloo 1815 (Pat. M’Cardle, Gunner, Royal Field Artillery) fitted with original steel clip and ring suspension, very fine £1200-1500
Partick McCardle was born in the Parish of Tannell, County Tyrone, and enlisted for the Royal Artillery at Omagh on 29 April 1804. He was discharged at Woolwich on 31 May 1825, in consequence of ‘being judged unfit for service by a Medical Board, thro pains of Breast & Walcheren Fever and ordered by the Board of Ordnance to be Pensioned at One Shilling and One Penny per day 1st June 1825’. His total service amounted to 23 years 61 days, including 2 years for Waterloo. Sold with copied discharge papers.
