FRANCE, Angélus, 1903, a silver plaque by G. Dupré, shepherdess seated with child, guarding her flock, reverse farm labourer and dog in contemplation, bullocks pulling a plough under the branches of a tree, 70 x 51mm (CGMP p.167; PBE 422; BDM VII, 239). Tiny rim knock below shepherdess, otherwise extremely fine and toned, an excellent example of arguably Dupré’s finest work (£90-120)
