Waterloo 1815 (Lt. George Lowson 2nd Line Batt. K.G.L.) fitted with original steel clip and bar suspension, nearly very fine £3500-4500

Lieutenant George Lowson served in the Netherlands in 1814, at the battle of Waterloo and campaign of 1815. The 2nd Line Battalion K.G.L. suffered 201 casualties at Waterloo, from a strength of 672 men. Placed on the half-pay in 1816, Lieutenant Lowson was appointed as Cornet and Riding Master in the 15th Light Dragoons on 30 March 1820, a position which he held until 15 March 1831, when he returned to his former half-pay. Lieutenant Lowson died in London on 28 May 1836.
