Thomas Butler Williams was born in Ermington, Devon on 13 February 1845. First appointed an Acting Engine Room Artificer on Indus on 5 August 1870. Attained the rank of Chief Engine Room Artificer in October 1880 and in the same year was awarded the Royal Navy L.S. & G.C. Pensioned 18 December 1890. With copied service papers.
