Albert Frederick Findlay was born in Exeter on 9 August 1848. Entering the Royal Navy in March 1876, he attained the rank of Chief Engine Room Artificer in March 1887. He served on the royal yacht Osborne from July 1880 until his retirement in March 1896. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1886. He died in Portsmouth on 1 July 1923. With copied service paper.
