William Stokeley was born in March, Cambridgeshire on 10 July 1855. Entering the Royal Navy in March 1878, he attained the rank of Chief Engine Room Artificer in May 1890. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1888 on the troopship Orontes. Serving on the battleship Majestic, Stokeley died of a cerebral haemorrhage on 17 November 1896. With copied service paper.
