Herbert Jeffs was born in Northampton on 7 September 1861. Entering the Royal Navy in April 1884, he attained the rank of Chief Engine Room Artificer in February 1903. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1894. Pensioned in May 1906. With copied service paper.
