Original Nelson Coplestone was born in Hammersmith, London on 10 January 1871. Entering into the Royal Navy in April 1893, he attained the rank of Chief Engine Room Artificer in May 1912. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1909 on the depot ship Hecla. His last posting was to the Osborn College, September 1918-September 1919.

Thmas George Parsons was born in East Stonehouse, Devon on 19 October 1873. Entering the Royal Navy in October 1894, he attained the rank of C.E.R.A. 1st Class in June 1909. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1909 on the armoured cruiser
Leviathan. He served throughout the war on Blake and was demobilised in 1919.

John Arthur Smith was born in York on 16 January 1868. Entering the Royal Navy in May 1891, he attained the rank of C.E.R.A. 1st Class in 1908. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1909 on the scout cruiser
Foresight. Pensioned in May 1913 but recalled in August 1914, he served throughout the war at Victory and Dolphin. A
