Samuel Heather was born in London, England, on 22 February 1877. Moving to Canada and a Labourer by occupation, he enlisted in the 33rd Battalion at London, Ontario, in April 1915. Arriving in England, and thence embarked for France, he was posted to the 1st Battalion, Canadian Infantry, and was killed in action at the Battle of St. Julien on 26 April 1916. He was buried in the Hooge Crater Cemetery; sold with copied service papers.
