Horace Oswald Pringle Hepburn was born in Dundee, Scotland, on 29 December 1888. A Railroad Engineer by occupation, he enlisted in the 1st Depot Battalion, Manitoba Regiment, at Winnipeg in January 1917. Posted to the 43rd Battalion (Cameron Highlanders of Canada) in France, he was killed in action on 1 October 1918 during the battle of the Marcoing Line. He was buried in the Mill Switch British Cemetery, Tilloy-les-Cambrai. He was the son of William Hepburn and Elizabeth Margaret Hepburn, of 38 Mayfield Terrace, Dundee; sold with copied service papers.
