Percy Joseph Knight was born in Walgrave, Northampton, England on 11 April 1887. Enlisting in the 203rd Battalion (Winnipeg Rifles) at Winnipeg in March 1916, he was serving with the 44th (New Brunswick) Battalion when he died of wounds on 3 November 1917. His casualty report entry reads, ‘Died of Wounds (Shrapnel wounds to shoulder and right hip) at No. 3 Australian Casualty Clearing Station’; sold with copied service papers.
Henry Knight - one of many with these names on the C.W.G.C. website - and thus attributed to 427728 Private Henry Knight, Royal Canadian Regiment, who was wounded on 16 September 1916 and killed in action, 26 July 1917; sold with copied service papers.
