Peter James Cayley Vyner was born on 16 July 1924. Served over one year in the ranks of the Indian Army. Appointed a 2nd Lieutenant on 12 December 1943. Promoted War Substantive Lieutenant in June 1944; served as Acting Captain, March 1946 and May-October 1946. On Unemployed List, October 1946-April 1951 and in the Reserve of Officers, April 1951. Appointed S.S.C. Lieutenant in July 1951; Captain in July 1955. In the R.A.O.C., appointed Lieutenant in September 1950 and Captain in March 1956. Promoted to Major in September 1961. Awarded the Jubilee Medal 1977 as Lieutenant-Colonel, H.Q. Paderborn Garrison. With copied research.
