William Henry Fisher was born in Bovington, Hertfordshire, lived in Watford and enlisted at London. Serving with the 1st Battalion Wiltshire Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 25 October 1914, aged 29 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial. He was the son of Mr & Mrs James Fisher, of Grafton Street, High Wycomb, Buckinghamshire and husband of Mary E. Fisher, of 97 Fearnley Street, Watford, Hertfordshire.
