Mildred Agnes Vaughan entered service as a nurse with British Red Cross Society in August 1914, when she was posted to the Auxiliary Hospital, Boultham Hall, Lincoln. Having then served at the Royal Herbert Military Hospital at Woolwich from May-December 1915, she joined the hospital ship Aquitania in the latter month and remained similarly employed until the New Year. Thereafter, until March 1918, she was employed at Oxford Military Hospital, but she was employed out in France from the latter month until July 1919, originally at No. 20 General Military Hospital at Camiers and thence No. 24 General Military Hospital at Etaples; sold with brief research.
