3811 Private C. Strank, 2nd Dragoons (Royal Scots Greys) was taken prisoner at Uitval Nek, 11 July 1900. Later released. With copied casualty extract (published casualty roll lists him as ‘J. Strand’) and copied roll extract (name given as ‘C. Shank’). This latter also lists him as serving in the 2nd Dragoon Guards. Also copied details of the action at Uitval Nek (Zilikat’s Nek).
