Frank William Briers was born in London, England, in March 1872, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Victoria, B.C., in August 1916. He died in British Columbia in September 1938; sold with copied attestation paper.
Herbert Norris was born at Hornsea, Yorkshire, England, in July 1884, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Winnipeg in March 1916. He had earlier served in the Army Ordnance Corps. Embarked for England, he served in France in 10th Company, Canadian Engineers from August 1916 until June 1917, and again from July 1918 until the end of the War, latterly as a Sergeant. Discharged in September 1919, Norris died in Victoria, B.C., in November 1956; sold with copied service record.
Samuel Armstrong was born in Yorkshire, England, in October 1873, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Vancouver, B.C., in June 1916. Embarked for England, he served in the 6th Field Company, Canadian Engineers, and as an orderly, but did not go to France. And he was discharged in consequence of his age in December 1918; sold with copied service record.
William Hadfield was born in Stoke on Trent, England, in August 1894, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Victoria, B.C., in November 1915; sold with copied attestation paper.
Richard Stanley Frost was born in Runton, Norfolk, England, in September 1888, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Vancouver, B.C., in July 1916. He subsequently served in the 8th Battalion, Canadian Engineers in France from March 1918 until March 1919, and was demobilised as a 2nd Corporal in August of the latter year. Frost died in Vancouver, B.C., in March 1959; sold with copied service record.
William Henry Pollard was born in Tynemouth, England, in March 1888, and, as a member of the Active Militia, enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Ottawa in January 1915. He died in Victoria, B.C., in December 1946; sold with copied attestation paper.
Harry Porter was born in Dufferin County, Ontario, in April 1892, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Toronto in December 1916. Originally drafted to the Canadian Field Artillery, he transferred to the 4th Battalion, Canadian Engineers, and served in France from August 1917 until the War’s end. He was demobilised in May 1919; sold with copied service record.
Edward Davies was born in Manchester, England, in September 1881, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Ottawa in December 1915; sold with copied attestation paper.
