Private Percival Kett, 5th Lancers, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 16 August 1914. Served with the 3rd Cavalry Brigade, part of Allenby’s Cavalry Division. The regiment fought at Mons, the retreat from Mons at Le Quesnoy and Reumont. Discharged due to wounds on 26 June 1916 and awarded the Silver War Badge (not with lot). With copied m.i.c. and roll extract; clasp confirmed.
