John Dando Sedding (1838-91), church architect and an influential figure in the Arts and Crafts movement, b. Eton; practising architect in Penzance 1865-8, Bristol 1869-76, then from 1876-91 at 447 Oxford street, London, next door to William Morris & Co. His wife, Rose, née Tinling, was a major influence on his work and died a few days after her husband in April 1891. Sold with further biographical details
