The Devonshire Regiment 3rd Volunteer Battalion Officer’s Helmet Plate c. 1883-1901, an all silver plate example, the back plate of crowned star pattern with laurel and Garter overlays, in the centre on a ground of black velvet Exeter castle and the motto ‘Semper Fidelis’, double title scroll at the bottom ‘The Devonshire Regiment’ ‘3rd Volunteer Battalion’ (the ‘3’ in 3rd appears to be a contemporary replacement for ‘2’), complete with three loop fasteners, very fine condition £240-300
