Hubert Malins Earle was born on 12 November 1868. Qualified at Middlesex Hospital, M.R.C.S. 1890; L.R.C.P. Lond. 1890; joined Indian Medical Service, Surgeon Lieutenant, 27 July 1892; Surgeon Captain, 27 July 1895; Major, 27 July 1904; Lieutenant-Colonel, 27 July 1912; retired, 23 July 1912; rejoined for service in war of 1914-18, 27 November 1914-1918.
Appointed to 35th Sikhs 30 October 1895 and served in expedition to Dongola in 1896. With Malakand Field Force 1897-98; resident Surgeon, Eden Hospital, Calcutta, 27 November 1898; Medical Officer 1st Gurkha Rifles, 27 December 1903; operations in Mohmand Country, North West Frontier of India 1908.
