The Lancashire Fusiliers 3rd Volunteer Battalion Officer’s Full Dress Bearskin c. 1900-08, a very fine example in dark brown bear skin complete with ornate frontal badge being a silver plated fused grenade, the ball with gilt mounts comprising laurel sprays, the Sphinx/Egypt and a scroll ‘3rd Volunteer Battalion’, to the left side a yellow cut cocks feather plume, a silver plated graduated chin chain, complete with a japanned metal carrying tin, this with illegible painted details but with brass plaque for ‘Edward Smith, Ebury St., London’, the hook anchor for one side of the chin chain present but detached, otherwise very good overall condition (2) £600-800
