A Single British Cavalry Undress Epaulette, a Pair of Continental Shoulder Scales and Two Continental Gorgets, the first of elaborate design decorated lapped scales, raised crescent in the form of a double headed serpent with a fused grenade within the crescent, at the strap end laurel sprays enclosing a small gilt button, the whole with a red cloth lining and strengthened with metal plates (possibly 2nd Life Guards c. 1820), the button has a scalloped rim, central star and plain centre; a pair of continental white metal pressed shoulder scales; a brass gorget with applied crown engraved ‘Ecole Militaire St. Cloud’; a Spanish military officer’s gorget brass back plate mounted with silver crown, crossed cannon barrels and a pile or ordnance, good overall condition (5) £100-160
