Thomas Conroy was born in Sowerby Bridge, Yorkshire, and attested for the Lancashire Fusiliers at Bury, Lancashire. He served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War in the Gallipoli theatre of War, and was killed in action on 14 June 1915. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Turkey.
