Henry J. Shore served with the Cheshire Regiment during the Great War in the Egyptian Theatre of War from 4 August 1915, and subsequently received a Silver War Badge.

John Thomas Coyne was born in Warrington, Lancashire, and attested there for the South Lancashire Regiment (Prince of Wales’ Volunteers). He served with the 1st/4th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 16 June 1915. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.

William Small was born in St. Helens, Lancashire, and attested there for the South Lancashire Regiment (Prince of Wales’ Volunteers). He served with the 1st/5th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and died of wounds on 10 May 1915. He is buried in Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension, France.

Gordon A. Fraser was born in Aberdeen and attested there for the Gordon Highlanders. He served with the 4th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 27 September 1915. He is buried in Halluin Communal Cemetery, France.
