France, Opening of the Pont Alexandre III, Paris, 1900, a large cast iron artist’s model for a medal by F. Rasumny, view of the bridge with a boat on the Seine below, 200mm. About extremely fine and virtually as made, with the numbers 150 and 237-4-57 painted on the back, extremely rare (£100-120)
The foundation stone for the bridge was laid by Tsar Alexander III in 1896, and the opening of the bridge coincided with the Exposition Universelle, 1900.
