The Inglis Family Four Royal Naval Commissions 1813-1858.
All contained in glazed matching oak frames. Two to Charles Inglis (1767-1833), the first appointing him to be Captain H.M.S. Rodney (74 guns) in 1813, the second appointing him to be Captain H.M.S. Victory in 1824. The third to Charles Inglis (1795-1877) son of the above, appointing him Commander of H.M.S. Delight, a sloop. The fourth to Lieutenant Charles D Inglis appointing him Commander of H.M.S. Marlborough 1858. A fifth frame contains a linen document dated 1815 appointing Charles Inglis RN to be a member of the Scottish ‘Pedestrians Club’. All with later Family notes on the reverses, foxing overall otherwise good condition (5) £160-£200
