Miss Paris in London was an ‘original aqua musicale’, using 50,000 gallons of water, that debuted in London and Castleford in November 1914. Treasury notes had been in circulation for less than six months at the time this note was created, so there is no doubt that it would have caught the eye of the many people unfamiliar with them.
