Roman Imperial Coinage, Valens (364-378), Miliarensis, Trier, 367-75, d n valen-s p f avg, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. virtvs exercitvs, Emperor standing left in military attire, holding standard and shield, tr ps. in exergue, 4.38g/6h (Ghey 7b, this coin; Hoxne 65; RIC IX p.19, 26(b)2; RSC 71+c). A few light marks, and with some minor porosity on the reverse, otherwise extremely fine, toned, rare £1,200–£1,500
