Four: Captain L. F. L. Fewster, South African Air Force, a pilot with 30 Squadron in Italy, who was made prisoner of war in March 1945

Captain Fewster was reported missing when, on a bombing raid against the marshalling yards at Pontebba on 14 March 1945, his aircraft collided with another when over the target and both planes crashed. Five men were killed but at least seven parachutes were seen to open and Captain Fewster was later confirmed as having survived and spent two months as prisoner of war. Sold with full service details and other research.
