Ailsborough (now called Eylebarrow) Mine, was a tine mine on Dartmoor. This blowing house, sometimes also called a blowing mill, was a building used for the smelting and processing of tin. As such, they are unique to Devon and Cornwall. They are named as such because the first stage of tin smelting required a vast set of bellows, along with a furnace and waterwheel.
