Bt Dolphin Coins 1986

Struck from the same dies as the British Museum (BMC 1007) and L. Stack (33) specimens.

Of this type J. Sills writes ‘The legend is one of the most finely engraved of any British Iron Age type and the design as a whole is remarkably similar to the reverse of a denarius of Augustus’.
