BNB B129as, Pick 17as £3,000-£4,000
Ex. Dabbah collection
This is the Dabbah plate note p.194 and pp.290-291.
The 500 francs with the serial number A.1/0002 with annotation from cashier number 1. The error spelling nominal in words on the obverse with the missing S added in pencil for correction. The note has a large punch hole at right.
This note is actually the number 2 note for issue and was probably turned into a specimen for referencing by Bank officials due to the new design or possibly due to the discovery of the misspelling error. This note was part of the World War II emergency series printed by Emil Pikovsky Zincography in Jerusalem on behalf of the Government printer of Palestine.
