George III (1760-1820), Soho Mint, Birmingham, Proof Halfpenny, 1806 (late Soho), in gilt-copper, laureate bust right, wreath of 11 leaves, brooch of 8 jewels, third and sixth broken off, k on shoulder, feint line flaw extending right from base of 6 in date, rev. Britannia seated left, olive branch with 10 leaves and 2 berries, no line under soho, ship with 2 stays from foremast to bowsprit, edge centre-grained, 9.37g/12h (BMC 1362 [KH 36]; ‘Selig’ 1401; S 3781). Fields hairlined, otherwise good extremely fine and brilliant £400-£500
