Donald George LaFleur was born in Toronto, Ontario, on 28 June 1921 and attested foe the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on 4 September 1942. He served as a Guardsman with the Governor General’s Foot Guards, R.C.A.C., during the Second World War, and was killed in action on 14 August 1944. He is buried in Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery, France.
