The Uniform Coinage of India, British Imperial Period, George VI, silver Rupees (2), both 1943, type C/III, Bombay, smaller crowned bust left in low relief, short trefoils in crown, george vi king emperor, broad rim, revs. one rupee india and date, yek rupiya surrounded by ornate scroll containing rose, thistle and shamrock, lotus flowers above and below, lozenge below lower rounded lotus, broad border decoration, security edges, 11.70g/12h, 11.66g/12h (Prid. 241 [Sale, lot 136]; SW 9.22; KM. 557.1) [2]. First extremely fine and lightly toned, second good very fine but bright from past cleaning and with a scratch above the first two numerals of the date £40-£60
