18th Century, Aylesbury, Lutwyche’s Halfpenny, 1796, laureate bust of William III right, to the friends for the abolition of slavery around, rev. cap of Liberty and crossed flags, edge grained, 8.87g/7h (DH 7). Weak definition in centre typical of these pieces struck on lighter flans, extremely fine with some original colour (£60-80)
