Reginald George Worthington was born on 4 December 1886, and educated at Branksome, Godalming, and Charterhouse. He was gazetted 2nd Lieutenant in the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry from the Militia on 6 May 1908; and promoted Lieutenant on 1 April 1911. He was killed in action in France and Flanders on 16 September 1914 whilst serving with the 2nd Battalion, Ox. & Bucks. L.I., and is buried in Soupir Churchyard, Aisne, France. Sold with confirmation of entitlement to French Legion of Honour.
