Awarded the M.S.M. for ‘valuable services with the Armies in the field’ (London Gazette 4 June 1917), and mentioned in despatches by Sir Douglas Haig (London Gazette 23 December 1918), he was additionally the recipient of the French Medal of Honour (London Gazette 17 March 1920) and Roumanian Bravery Medal (London Gazette 3 December 1920).
