Samuel Fitch, mercer, lived at Lophams, near Finchingfield. The token, first published in
Caesaromagus, issue 11 [1971], reads, mm. five-point mullet both sides, samvell·fitch:, Mercers’ arms, rev. in:wethersfeild, sf, 10-point rosette above and below. This and the next lot comprise the only two issues for the village
